Akshay, Bobby, Irrfan & Sunil to plan re-register their marriages
Akshay, Bobby, Irrfan & Sunil to plan re-register their marriages: Akshay Kumar along with his Thank You co-stars will renew marital vows. Akshay, Bobby Deol, Irrfan Khan and Sunil Shetty have made plans to re-register their marriages in the court, and this is also a sweet way to surprise their lovely wives.
As per reports, all the four stars are hoping to get the approval to re-register their marriages at the Bandra Family Court on this Friday. They have requested the court to grant them special permission to do so.
Who is the man behind this thought? It’s Akshay. The actor and his better half Twinkle recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. Likewise Sunil and wife Maana’s marriage is going strong; Bobby’s wardrobe is full of his wife Tanya’s designed clothes; and Irrfan Khan’s marriage to Sutapa is one good example of a blissful inter-religion marriage.
So with all being well in their marriages, even director Anees Bazmee wholeheartedly approved of the idea of re-registering marriages since Thank You deals with the topic of infidelity. But Bazmee admits being shocked initially when Akshay first told him about this plan.
Generally, couples register their marriage at that time of their wedding and there is no need to re-register it again.

'Namastey London 2': Akshay Kumar & Katrina Kaif play together again
'Namastey London 2': Akshay Kumar & Katrina Kaif play together again: Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s onscreen magic that ensured packed houses for their films like Namastey London and Singh Is Kingg seems to have fizzled out with flops like De Dana Dan and Tees Maar Khan.
Perhaps to revive this magic, Akshay has been prodding producer-director Vipul Amrutlal Shah to make the film’s sequel. Now, Shah, who’s never been gung-ho about making sequels of his hit films, has finally succumbed to Akshay’s demand and decided to go ahead with Namastey London 2.
Shah is reportedly in the process of writing the script. The original movie was about a rustic Punjabi lad winning over his rich and pampered London bride (Kat). In the sequel, the character of Akshay and Katrina will go through matrimonial troubles that will be the source of humour and drama in the story.
Though Shah and Akshay have virtually green-lit the project, Katrina hasn’t yet been informed of their plan for the sequel. It’s not because she won’t be part of the sequel. But because Shah and Akshay want to surprise her as she herself has been asking Shah to make the film’s sequel.
Shah is currently busy with his production Force, starring John Abraham. After he’s done with this film, he will set out to direct Namastey London 2. Till that time, he will work on the script.

Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha 'Joker' song shoot enjoys with sadhus
Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha 'Joker' song shoot enjoys with sadhus: Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha shot with real sadhus for their song in the movie Joker.
The song was being shot by Farah Khan and hubby Shirish Kunder in Chandigarh when the duo spotted a procession of sadhus passing by on the day of Mahashivratri. Immediately the duo hit upon the idea of having the sadhus shoot with Akshay and Sonakshi for the song.
The holy men, known to renounce the things and ways of the world, were initially reluctant to shoot for the film, but when Farah persuaded them that they were required for just one shot, they agreed.
So kicked was Kunder by this little cameo by the sadhus that he also made the extras on the sets dress up like sadhus.
More than anything, Akshay and Sonakshi enjoyed the company of the sadhus, as is evident from this pic.

We hope Anees-Akshay pair to do some dhamaal with Thank You at box office, repeating the success story of films like Welcome and Singh Is Kinng.

Akshay Kumar Interview: It was time to change focus
Akshay Kumar Interview: It was time to change focus: Akshay Kumar is in the mood for intense and dramatic roles and will be seen as a Sikh guy trapped in the patriarchal family system in “Patiala House”. He says he accepted the offer as it was completely opposite to his real life story and also because he is keen to change his funny guy image.
"It was a conscious decision to do a serious role because it’s been three years since I’ve done something like this. The last was ‘Namastey London’. I’ve been away from it for quite sometime now and was concentrating on comedy. So I thought of changing focus and doing something serious,” Akshay told us.
“While playing the character, I felt that I’m playing what real people go through in life, what circumstances they face. I’m not playing just a role, it is a culmination of the lives of common people out there,” added the 43-year-old.
Akshay showed his funny side in his first hit comedy “Hera Pheri”, but his comedies like “Action Replayy” and “Tees Maar Khan” bombed at the box office.
Set in London, “Patiala House” sees Akshay Kumar’s character Gattu trapped between his dreams and his father’s aspirations for him.
The film has been directed by Nikhil Advani and co-produced by Bhushan Kumar, Mukesh Talreja, Krishan Kumar and Akshay along with his wife Twinkle Khanna.
Akshay says what attracted him to the role was that his life story was completely opposite to his character in the movie.
“My father supported all my dreams. He worked double shifts so that I could train in martial arts. So this situation was completely alien to me. I grew up with love and support from my parents. So that’s why it was so endearing to play a son, who forgets his dreams for his father’s,” he said.
The film that also stars Anushka Sharma and Rishi Kapoor among others will see Akshay sharing screen with his real life mother-in-law Dimple Kapadia. The senior actress plays his mother in the movie and the actor said he had fun filming with her.
“Me and my mother-in-law are quite inseparable. I have more things common with her than Twinkle. Twinkle and I are totally opposite, whereas me and Dimpleji are quite similar,” said the actor.
“During the entire schedule, we played cards, fooled around on youtube, she taught me sudoku (number game) and I took her to various places with my son. So it was fun. She is a fun lady,” he added.
This is his first film with Anushka and he said: “Anushka has a very vital role to play in the film. She is my shoulder, my brick wall and my unconditional support in the movie. She shocked me on the sets with her expertise. There is no doubt that she will go very far,” he added.

Akshay Kumar lead with Sonakshi Sinha in Prabhu Deva’s next project
Akshay Kumar lead with Sonakshi Sinha in Prabhu Deva’s next project: This Valentine’s Day Prabhu Deva will not be with his ladylove down south. He’ll be in Mumbai to discuss with Akshay Kumar his new film to be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
While talking to a daily the choreographer-turned-director reveals that he is a happy man. Not only has the turmoil in his personal life almost settled, he is waiting for the right time to marry Nayanthara. His Tamil film which is entirely shot in Paris with Jayam Ravi and Hansika Motwani, Engeyam Kadhal, is almost ready for release, and now work is only on his mind.
Prabhu Deva’s new Bollywood project has got a very interesting cast. The film has Akshay with Sonakshi Sinha and the maverick director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali will produce it. It’s going to be a full masala film, very much like Wanted.
Can we expect another with Salman Khan, Prabhu!

Akshay Kumar in action in ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’ sequel!
Akshay Kumar in action in ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’ sequel!: Though his last few films couldn’t do much wonder at the box office, Akshay Kumar still continues to be a hot favourite of the producers. The Khiladi Kumar has been approached by Ekta Kapoor to play Dawood in the sequel of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai.
Wondering what will happen to Ajay Devgan and Emran Hashmi? Well, both the actors are not part of the sequel. Ajay couldn’t have been because his character was killed in the film. Emraan, however, has got the short end of the stick and replaced by Akshay who will play a matured don.
We hear that Akki has already spoken to Ekta about the role. Milan Luthria will again wield the megaphone for the project which will continue the story of Shoaib (Dawood) and how he makes his empire after Sultan (Haji) dies in the first part.
It’s heard that Akki is negotiating his remuneration for the film. The original was a major hit of the year 2010 and Ekta doesn’t want to take chances. She can even opt for a new storyline and there might be another actor who will act as the rival of Akki.
Since Akshay is there, expect the film to be high on action sequences.

Junior Akshay to act as Akshay's teenage version in Patiala House
Junior Akshay to act as Akshay's teenage version in Patiala House: There was no way director Nikhil Advani was going to compromise on casting for the boy who would play Bollywood star Akshay Kumar's teenage version in his upcoming film "Patiala House". He found the perfect junior Akshay in Usman Quereshi.
Advani was hunting for a boy to play 17-year-old Akshay, and Usman was on board on the first meeting itself because of his resemblance with the 43-year-old actor. In fact, the resemblance was so strong that the crew gave him the nickname Akki Junior, said a source.
"We were completely bowled over by the striking resemblance between the two - Akshay and Usman. And after the screen test, without a doubt we found our 17-year-old Akshay for 'Patiala House'. It is not easy to play a younger role of such a superstar but Usman has done a great job," said Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, the co-producer of the movie.
In fact, Akshay was quite surprised and excited to see Usman, and discovered that they shared a similar scar on their eyebrow. Akshay also said that Usman's body structure is quite similar to his own when he was 17.
"Patiala House" will release Feb 11, 2011.
